Summer School 2012

A delight  to perform,  Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination—Jojo. Oh, the Thinks You Can Think captures the show’s spirit of imagination, as the colourful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus Mc Gurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. The story centres around Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with a double challenge...not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird

Join us for a fun filled week at the D.@rt centre, Wildern School.  Summer school is suitable for children age five years up with no upper age limit. They will gain in confidence, learn new skills, make new friends and above all have lots of fun. Every child has a part in the show and those over 9 can audition for a character part as well if they wish.  The week ends with a performance on Friday afternoon to which parents are invited.

 The price includes a tee shirt, craft activities and costumes, together with delicious homemade cakes, fresh fruit and drinks all served at break times. We are lucky to be able to use all the facilities at the d.@rt and you can be sure that your child will be well cared for.
